Praise Him

Praise Him

 Hebrews 13:15

“…Therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name.”

The supernatural power that is released through continuously praising and giving thanks to God is amazing. The picture here is that of the Old Testament altars of sacrifice. As the smoke of the burning sacrifices ascended up to God as a sweet aroma – so does your heartfelt praises.

I can think of no better way of praising God than to use the Scriptures that were recorded to praise Him with. These were originally songs of praise, while in prayer they were used to proclaim God’s greatness.

I can affirm from my own experience the incredible supernatural power that is released through proclaiming God’s praises using His Word. I would spend time meditating on the prayers and praises recorded in the Word of God until they would resonate within me.

The passages that resonated in my heart are the ones I would use to sing and praise God with. I was astounded at the measure of power that came into my prayer life through the practice of Praising God with His Word.

Many believers seem to neglect this amazing practice of exalting God in praise, and therefore miss the potential life changing power of praise that is God’s gift to them. I encourage you to begin today to make a habit of meditating on those passages that exalt God, and make them your own. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you learn how to use the Word of God to proclaim His greatness.

While your mind is focused on God and no longer preoccupied with yourself, you’ll be releasing immense supernatural power in your life as your praises ascend to God. What an awesome weapon you have in our mouth; The joyful privilege of proclaiming God’s greatness using His powerful Spirit inspired Word.

So, lift yourself up and stand before God proclaiming His greatness, as God’s faith rises within you, you’ll Be Encouraged! -JSP
