Posted by Recently I took some time to sit back and appreciate the beauty and wonder of God’s created order. Sometimes overwhelmed by His infinite creative genius, sometimes humbled by the thought that He would pause to cast a loving glance toward me.
I’m reminded of the numerous blessings derived from Knowing the Lord that He is God, and that He has made us, calling us His own, likening us as “the sheep of His pasture” (Psalm 100:3), it’s an overwhelming truth to take in.
And like sheep we are not to be concerned about tomorrow, nor are we to be troubled about food and water. We are to be content with the awareness that our Shepherd knows and cares for our every need.
We Are Known And Loved
The Psalmist invites us to come and bow down and worship the Lord our maker. In fact, God Himself invites us to come and know Him as our maker and the Lover of our souls.
The one who made us is the one who knows and cares for us. It is a comforting truth to know and be known by the good shepherd who layed down His life for His sheep” ( John 10:14-15).
And like the sheep we too live securely in the fact that “…anyone who loves God, is one who is known by Him.” (1 Corinthians 8:3).
And so it is with us (the sheep of His pasture), that whatever may be happening around us, it is under God’s watchful eye we can with confidence, securely rest in the knowledge that we are cared for, known, and loved…Be Encouraged! – JSP
