My New Year’s Day Prayer 2019

Almighty Father in heaven, the God of all creation, May Your Name be revered in all the earth.

Be pleased to hear my prayer on this first morning of 2019.

Thank you for this day, for your gift of life, for your mercies which are new each morning, also for your provisions of the past year.

May Your Kingdom influence continue its advance to bless the nations, and Your will be done in our generation as you have purposed it in heaven.

Be pleased to grant us forgiveness for our sins as we take responsibility them turning away from each of them.

Be pleased grant us wisdom to learn from our failings and to better serve you for your glory in the year ahead.

Be pleased to bestow Your blessings on our families, relatives, and friends, with good health and reasonable prosperity for each as they acknowledge you as the source of all benefits.

Out of your abundant grace bring them to a greater knowledge of Your truth, grant them grace to salvation.

Be pleased to be merciful even to our enemies, for in many ways we are no better than they.

Be pleased to bless and to protect our nation with peace, prosperity, and a renewed reverence for You.

Grant our elected officials the much needed wisdom and self-restraint to govern this nation for the good of the people and for future generations.

Be pleased to bless our armed forces with protection, wisdom and guidance in this year ahead.

Grant wisdom and protection to law enforcement and May You grant us peace and order within our boarders.

Thank you for your many blessings that many times go unnoticed, and in Your great mercy, may Your blessings fall upon us and overwhelm us in Your love.

Grant that we as a nation would be wiser stewards of all You’ve allotted us, and may your Church live aligned with the Scriptures at a higher degree of integrity, gratitude, holiness and faith in this year ahead.

Thank you for attending to my prayer and bestowing the answers as you deem best for our good.

For yours alone is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever, Amen
