90 Days of Prayer Day Sixty-One
Psalm 45:15
“Led in with joy and gladness, they enter the palace of the king.”
A wedding song is being sung, the atmosphere is festive, the long awaited day has finally come. I read this psalm and think of that day when the Church enters the Presence of the Lord together. I can hear billions of voices in perfect harmony singing the praises of our King.
Picture The Church worldwide singing with unspeakable passion, together with all God’s people from the beginning time. The greatest choir ever assembled entering into the king’s palace, the marriage supper of the Lamb, to forever be with the Lord. I don’t think any movie production on earth can do this amazing scene justice.
God calls you to Him as the Lover of your soul. You too are invited to come and bow down in worship; to be so overwhelmed by His love for you that your only response is to pour out your heart to Him in song.
You’re Being Ushered Into His Presence
Even now the Holy Spirit inspires the kind praying and worship that opens you up to His movements within your heart to follow. Deep within your heart the Spirit is always moving you toward God’s tangible Presence. That’s a foretaste of being in His Palace above!
Following the gentle promptings of the Spirit in worship will cause everything within you to become sensitive to the tangible Presence of the Living God as He draws you nearer to Himself. You’ll find that the longings of your heart are satisfied when you hear the sound of His voice welcoming you once again into His Presence.
Entering The Presence of The King Together
The atmosphere becomes charged with the Presence of God as the Church comes together in worship with one heart and one mind to magnify the King of Kings. A sacred reverence, a holy awe seems to sweep over the people gathered together seeking the face of God; being drawn to His presence by the power of united worship focused on Him alone. Now that’s what I call a worship service!
This must have been the experience of God’s people at the dedication of the Temple as recorded in 2 Chronicles 5:13-14; “The trumpeters and musicians joined in unison to give praise and thanks to the LORD.
Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, the singers raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang: “He is good; his love endures forever.” Then the temple of the LORD was filled with the cloud, and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the temple of God.”
God calls us to this every time we’re together! When you come together, yield yourself to worship the Lord your maker. He will draw you nearer to Him in song. Together with those singing with you, God will overwhelm you in His Presence, He will lift you up in His love, He will satisfy the deepest longings of your heart, and you’ll Be Encouraged. -JSP
