90 Days of Prayer – Day Fifty Four

“Strength In Unity”

Psalm 133:3
”For there the LORD bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.”

.
Unity is a place of power where good things happen. David begins this psalm by calling attention to the benefits of being united behind one purpose. The original begins with “Behold” meaning to see or take notice of something.
.
Take notice how often the Scriptures as well as your own experience demonstrates that unity is the place where God’s blessings abound. United praying makes all things possible to those who live by it. The power unleashed by united prayer is the very thing God delights in when His people call upon Him with one purpose.
.
God’s Presence dwells among people united in prayer. The Holy Spirit’s anointing flows like the oil poured upon the priests of old. Like the morning dew falling on Mount Zion, God’s blessings fall upon His people who are praying together.
.
We are encouraged to take note of God’s Presence in genuine Christian fellowship. The immense spiritual power generated by united purposeful praying cannot be overstated. The Scriptures are replete with examples of God accomplishing His purposes through His people being committed to united prayer.
.
Consider these examples of God showing up during united prayer:
Acts 2:1-4
“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.”
.

Acts 4:31
“And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.”
.
It is true that there is strength in unity, how much more so when praying together with God’s Presence is resting on us. Think of the possibilities available to the family, Church, city, state or nation committed to calling on God together.
.
So commit yourself to be united with others in prayer, experience God’s Presence together, See demonstrations of His power together, take note of His blessings and His amazing answers, and Be Encouraged.
