90 Days of Prayer – Day Twenty One
“Covering the Earth with Prayer”
1 Timothy 2:1-4
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to knowledge of the truth.
It has always been God’s intention to communicate with us, and us with Him. This is exactly what prayer is designed to do – keeping the lines of communication open so God’s ideas and His blessings are continuing to flow into the earth through us! God’s people throughout history were always people of prayer. Answered prayer is a common occurrence to anyone who has learned from God by meeting with Him daily and often.
The Scriptures are replete with numerous calls to pray, encouragements to pray, and testimonies of how God has answered those who did pray. There is not a single sector of society that has not been made a subject of prayer, or been influenced because of it.
