Posted by Almighty God and Father of all humanity, to whom everything in all creation in the heavens and the earth belong.
Be pleased to hear my prayer on this first morning of 2021. Thank you for this day, for your gift of life, and for an opportunity to experience a new year.
May Your Kingdom influence increase and Your will be done in our lives this year as you have purposed it in heaven. Be pleased to grant us forgiveness for our sins of 2020, and grant us wisdom to learn from our failings to better serve you in the year ahead.
Be pleased to bless our families, relatives, and friends with good health and reasonable prosperity to have their needs supplied. Out of your abundant grace bring them to a greater knowledge of Yourself and the truth. Be pleased to be merciful even to our enemies, for in many ways we are no better than they.
Be pleased to bless and to protect our nation with peace, prosperity, and a renewed reverence for You. Grant our elected officials wisdom and self-restraint to govern this nation for the genuine good of the people for the benefit of future generations.
Be pleased to bless those serving in our armed forces with protection and guidance in the year ahead. Grant wisdom, protection, and renewed respect and appreciation for law enforcement and May You grant us peace and order within our cities.
Thank you for your many blessings that sometimes go unnoticed, and in Your great mercy, may Your blessings fall upon us and overwhelm us in Your love.
May we recognize Your Providential care over all Your created order, and respect Your Sovereignty at work conforming all things to the purpose of Your will.
Grant that we as a nation may be wiser stewards of all You’ve allotted us, and may we live with a higher degree of integrity and gratitude for all You’ve provided. May we learn and walk in humilty this year. May You be honored and reverenced all things. Amen -JSP
